MUSIC AT NEW LIFE

While music is not the "main course" of a corporate worship service, we recognize the weight and magnitude music carries during Sunday gatherings. Through music, we not only commemorate the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, but we also reflect on the Holiness of God, His mercies, and His atonement for our sins as we prepare our hearts and minds to hear the teaching and instruction of His Word. Due to the seriousness of our calling, our music must be rooted and steeped in sound biblical doctrine. We understand our worship is being offered unto a Holy and righteous God, therefore we are careful to select music which has a singular focus towards the only One who is worthy to be worshiped; Christ Jesus, our Lord. It is never our aim to perform, as a performance aims only to please people. Instead, we seek to touch the heart of God as we graciously invite, include, and lead the saints into singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
